Description

StorybookJS released a major version 7. We should update to stay secure and for the latest features.

Additional context

Dependabot flagged some dependency descrepencies that could be resolved by updating Storybook to the latest version.

Todo

  • Look at StorybookJS changelog to understand major changes.
  • Test Storybook automigrate feature with manual updates.
  • Add findings & solutions for upgrading.

This could unblock #5010.

Not a blocker to updating node. Using the latest StorybookJS 6.5.x package is possible with other dependency updates (like babel-loader).

I'm getting a lot of 'unable to resolve path to module' and 'missing file extension' after I updated storybook to v7. Any thoughts on how to resolve?
