AttributeError: module 'vaex' has no attribute 'from_csv' #1236

I have attempted to utilize vaex, but have been unsuccessful. Reason unknown.
I am using the most recent version of anaconda 3. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the most recent version as I was experiencing this same problem and figured a fresh install may help to clear the issue. The same error is appearing. I have copied and pasted the console here.

AttributeError: module 'vaex' has no attribute 'from_csv'

Code:
import vaex
import pandas as pd
import numpy as np

n_rows = 100000
n_cols = 10
df = pd.DataFrame(np.random.randint(0, 100, size=(n_rows, n_cols)), columns=['c%d' % i for i in range(n_cols)])

df.info(memory_usage='deep')

creating .csv files

filepath = 'main_dataset.csv'
df.to_csv(filepath, index=False)

create hdf5 files

vaex_df = vaex.from_csv(filepath, convert = True, chunk_size = 5_000_000)

type(vaex_df)

Note that restarting the kernal and running the code again produced the same Attribute Error

Do you have a file called vaex.py in your working directory?

I have changed all file names that contain vaex and have run the code again. The same error appears.

you may have a __pycache__ directory. if you check vaex.__path__ it may give you a clue.

I have viewed the pycache and path, but have not found anything out of the ordinary.

please delete the pycache folder and try again (it will be recreated)

Deleted the pycache folder. Ran the code again. Encountered the same Attribute Error

Gentlemen,
I found the culprit.
I eventually did find a stray file with the name of 'vaex' in it. Eliminating that file did eliminate the problem.
