Weather::Forecast

Welcome to your Weather-Forecast!

This gem provides you with a fun CLI app that allow you to query 3-hours weather data for up to five days. The provided data are fetched from the OpenWeatherMap API and you can query your forecast by zipcode.

Enjoy your weather!!!

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'weather-forecast'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install weather-forecast

Usage

This gem requires an API Key from OpenWeatherMap. A free key can be obtained after signing up. Check other required gem for the app in the Gemfile.

APP_ID = YOUR_API_KEY

After setting up your API Key, type the following:

$ execute

then follow the prompts on the screen

Development

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
