Current Vector Version

vector 0.10.0 (g0f0311a x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu 2020-07-22)

Use-cases

  • As a user, I want to receive logs via RELP protocol natively from vector.

Attempted Solutions

An alternative solution would be: transfer logs via RELP using rsyslog, save the logs locally first. Then use file source module in vector to process logs.

Proposal

  • Vector supports RELP protocol natively for its syslog module
