Wild Crops

Wild Crops are natural, uncultivated forms of farmable crops, growing across nature.

Overview

Wild Crops spawn occasionally in nature at different biomes and climates. Since they're wild, a patch may not be very edible or fruitful, but will usually yield a single seed or plantable when broken. Rarely, seed-bearing wild crops may drop a unit of edible produce. You can also shear the patch to relocate it as decoration.

If Bone Meal is used in a wild crop, it will proliferate in the vicinity a bit, allowing players to obtain more of them. Wild Rice, however, will occasionally drop duplicates, similar to other tall flowers.

Wild Crops

Beaches:

  • Wild Cabbage: A large bush with small yellow flowers;
  • Sea Beet: A type of beet with much larger leaves;

Cold climates (between 0.0 and 0.3 temperature):

  • Wild Potato: Similar to normal Potato patches, but with large flowers;

Temperate climates (between 0.3 and 1.0 temperature):

  • Wild Onion: A thick cluster of Allium flowers usually has an onion bulb under them;
  • Wild Carrot: A flowering weed, with a conspicuous beige-colored base;

Arid climates (above 1.0 temperature):

  • Tomato Vines: Non-spiked floor vines covered in tiny tomatoes.

Swamps and Jungles

  • Wild Rice: A thinner form of cultivated rice. Thrives in shallow puddles of water.
