Docs: Next.js version ref globally shown on docs to improve clarity on referenced release version?

What is the improvement or update you wish to see?

Just to make sure that the docs are accurate to the project other devs are working on I would like to see a version reference and maybe an archive for previous version if possible. A way this could be laid out as: maybe someway like the current (non-beta) docs of react?

Is there any context that might help us understand?

This could really prevent misunderstandings when devs are not working on the bleeding edge of next.js and wait a bit with upgrading while still allowing them to look stuff up in the docs.

Ps. want to clarify that I know y'all from the vercel team are already hard at work on the new docs but maybe this could benefit both the old and the new docs in the future.
