Deployments are not being triggered for customised branch in git section for vercel pro

Hello ,

We are moving from hobby version to pro version and followed the steps below

1. created a team in Vercel . Within the team , I created 4 four projects .
   All 4 four projects are linked to the different branches of same repository .
   for example project = my-project-dev and linked development branch of the repository to this project and my-project-stag for staging and linked development branch of the repository to this project for staging env and so on .

when I push my commits to the development branch , no deployments are being triggered . as it still uses master branch .
In the git tab of the settings section , I see the current branch is linked . But under deployments , I see it uses master branch (which is wrong branch) .

Any help on this will be great !!
