AWS Lambda Finite State Machine Workflows

(This repo is maintained by an SSAE 16 SOC 1 Type 2 compliant organization)

A Python 2.7 framework for running Finite State Machine (FSM) Workflows on

  1. AWS Lambda for code execution,
  2. (Optionally) AWS ECS for long-running code execution,
  3. AWS Kinesis for event dispatch
  4. (Optionally) AWS DynamoDB for event dispatch
  5. (Optionally) AWS SNS for event dispatch
  6. (Optionally) AWS SQS for event dispatch
  7. Support for primary and secondary event dispatch mechanisms
  8. (Optionally) AWS DynamoDB for checkpointing
  9. (Optionally) AWS DynamoDB for retries with backoff
  10. (Optionally) AWS SQS for retries with backoff
  11. (Optionally) Memcache for idempotency
  12. (Optionally) Redis for idempotency
  13. (Optionally) AWS DynamoDB for idempotency
  14. (Optionally) AWS CloudWatch for error and failure monitoring

or

  1. AWS Lambda for code execution
  2. (Experimental) AWS Step Functions for orchestration and retries,

The FSM implementation is inspired by the paper:
