STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Social Austin application is a friend compatibility-based application. Social Austin is full-stack site which takes in the user's name, picture, a series of personality questions and displays a friend based on previous users on the application.
Social Austin was created to showcases the use of server routing from express, and path npm and creating an API from body-parser via converting to JSON form and preforming call AJAX requests. Social Austin is the first web application to pull a polished user interface, and server side together, deloying from Heroku to provide a new friend suggestion for the user.
PREREQUISITES:
- Google Chrome Internet Browser
- jQuery enabled on Google Chrome
- JavaScript enabled on Google Chrome
- Access to Google Font packages
- Node.js
- Terminal / Bash / command line prompt
- Capability to run files in package.json (body-parser, express, path)
- CDN support on Bootstrap
- Perfered viewing in English language 🇺🇸
HOW TO USE: Once pages loads, the user is able to input a name and a user image url. The user will be asked a series of questions and will need to input 10 questions which has a score associated to each question. Once the user hits submit, the application will look into system to look for a potenital new friend.
