-sender com.getdropbox.dropbox causes hang

When I try to specify Dropbox as -sender like this:

alerter \
	-sender com.getdropbox.dropbox \
	-message 'Launch Dropbox ?' \
	-closeLabel No \
	-actions 'Launch' \
	-timeout 30

The alert does not appear, and the timeout does not happen.

If I remove the -sender line, it works.

If I use -sender com.apple.TextEdit instead, it works.

This is using alerter (1.1.0) on latest Catalina non-beta:
