this seems to be nonfree and paid, so I think the likelihood of this being added is low

This is free for all but with some limitation like only 2 tabs you can use in the same time. No other limits by functional or time.
As you can see for other distros they make a ports

other distros do not have it packaged, aside from the AUR. every distro listed in your link is using tableplus's repository not any distro-official one
