Testing the changes

Using it for more than a month now.

Local build testing

  • I built this PR locally for my native architecture, (x86_64-glibc)

This is the version from the new feature branch. The question is, do we want to switch branches to the new feature branch?

No. Generally, we keep to "stable" or, in the case of nvidia, the "production" branch.

Alright, I think making it a separate package does not make sense.

Do we want to discuss this further or should we just close the PR?
