Testing the changes

  • I tested the changes in this PR: YES

Local build testing

  • I built this PR locally for my native architecture, (x86_64-glibc)
  • I built this PR locally for these architectures (if supported. mark crossbuilds):
    • x86_64-musl
    • aarch64-musl (crossbuild)

Note that i switched the distfile to sourceforge as SCons devs are no longer cutting releases on github and now the main scons website points to sourceforge to get an official tarball.

Tested it on building godot as well without issue

Did you try recompile all packages that use scons?

I have not yet, but i will now to be sure

  • godot

  • goxel

  • gpsd

  • libffado

  • pingus - 77d36c4

  • rmlint

  • serf

  • vdrift

  • xboxdrv a6c1b46

  • endless-sky-gl21 - compile errors with both scons 4.4 and the PR 4.7

  • cbang - b50b3e2

  • sunpinyin

SCons 4.7.0 update didn't break any packages using build_style=scons

Both pingus and xboxdrv have gitlab distfiles that 404 currently.
endless-sky-gl21 and cbang have compile errors regardless of which scons version is used.
