This update was inspired by issue voxpupuli#101 regarding incorrect parameter names in the README.md. That issue arose in turn from no small amount of frustration trying to understand the original README, despite good familiarity with managing Autofs configuration by hand. Once editing started, however, new issues kept being discovered: other parameter naming errors, inconsistency in the docs for configuring direct maps, confusing and / or non-idiomatic wording, inconsistencies with Autofs's native terminology, incomplete data type specifications, and more.
