@blkperl no problem, with pleasure.

The only issue is I'm using is_hash function from stdlib which is not available until 3.0...I could change it for validate_hash or we could change dependency from 2.6.0 to 3.0.0...what do you prefer?

I have some uncommitted changes to enable filecount plugin in collectd, would you be interested on it also?
