Fully support and I think it would be good to make this editorial change (as opposed to #143) now if possible.
I have read the minutes and looked at both pull requests. It is not political to acknowledge that calling law enforcement in lieu of more appropriate emergency services has literally deadly consequences that primarily affect underrepresented minorities; This is what the data shows. As others have already mentioned, law enforcement is encompassed in emergency services. So if anything, explicitly calling law enforcement out is suggesting this service should be preferred to others, which is very much a political position. So strong +1 for this pull request as opposed to #143. |
