W3C announces publication of the Candidate Recommendation of *WAI-Adapt: Symbols Module*: https://www.w3.org/TR/adapt-symbols/, providing first-time support for interoperable Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) symbols support in web content.
WAI-Adapt: Symbols Module is a technical specification that enables symbols to replace text in web content. It’s now a W3C 'Candidate Recommendation'.
