A browser or application needs to correctly apply functions to the basic units of text, be they characters, character sequences, syllables, or words. We need to specify these for the script.

  1. Adding some basic definition about these term would help us in other parts of the document.
  2. Explain the recommended behaviour based on Unicode specifications.
