Status of Autoplay Policy Detection #24
Comments
Ping @jernoble, @mounirlamouri, @beaufortfrancois, @padenot who have been involved in early discussions on this feature. Is support for such a feature still planned? |
Last I checked Chrome would still be interested in this API but didn't have anyone actively working on this. It has been a low priority work for a while. I can't talk for Chrome anymore but I would expect that the API would be implemented if a spec was written. |
Yes, but other more important work items took precedence. Mozilla had volunteered someone to edit, and afaik this is still the case. |
Thanks for the feedback. That suggests keeping the spec in the charter. I'll close this accordingly. Feel free to reopen if you disagree. |
Autoplay Policy Detection has an explainer but progress seems to have stalled, as far as I know, as there is no spec editor. Is there any update on this? Should it remain in the charter?
