Autoplay Policy Detection has an explainer but progress seems to have stalled, as far as I know, as there is no spec editor. Is there any update on this? Should it remain in the charter?

Ping @jernoble, @mounirlamouri, @beaufortfrancois, @padenot who have been involved in early discussions on this feature. Is support for such a feature still planned?

Last I checked Chrome would still be interested in this API but didn't have anyone actively working on this. It has been a low priority work for a while. I can't talk for Chrome anymore but I would expect that the API would be implemented if a spec was written.

Yes, but other more important work items took precedence. Mozilla had volunteered someone to edit, and afaik this is still the case.

Thanks for the feedback. That suggests keeping the spec in the charter. I'll close this accordingly. Feel free to reopen if you disagree.
