determined not relevant -remove stub from doc. |
Related work note added to 3PWD candidate branch: https://raw.githack.com/w3c/dxwg/prof-3PWD-candidate/prof/index.html#related-prov. This is in addition to the stub of the informative alignment section at https://raw.githack.com/w3c/dxwg/prof-3PWD-candidate/prof/index.html#alignment-prov. |
@rob-metalinkage @nicholascar I do not understand. You say it's "determined not relevant" but in the end more is done about it than was done earlier. A note seems in order to clarify intentions here! |
@aisaac we (Rob & I) do think that PROV & PROF are doing different things, if not irrelevant to one another. But since dependency & conformance are clearly somewhat related and people have asked questions about PROV when considering PROF, it makes sense to have a Related Work and an Alignments piece about PROV, even if the outcome of work on those sections is that they are not so related and that Alignment is minimal. At least the thoughts are made explicit in the document. |
@nicholascar perfect. I guess this fully clarifies (and perhaps nullifies) the previous note that confused me, and I think the issue can be closed. |
Closing issue due to WG notification period of due-for-closing elapsing and favourable comments from final issue raiser above. |
This issue was created in the Profiles Ontology document and is listed in it. Once consensus on addressing it is reached here in comments below, the results will be added to the document and the issue closed.
PROV deals with derivation and a large part of PROF is derivation and relation
