Harmonize syntax for specifying alternatives

Currently, there are three areas identified where it is desirable to list 
alternatives:

 # [http://code.google.com/p/epub-revision/wiki/ImplementationProposalsMetadata#The_new_DCTERMS_elements_and_'ancillary_properties' metadata ancillary properties]
 # alternate audio overlays for different languages that share the same text
 # [http://fantasai.inkedblade.net/style/specs/altss-tags/ alternate style tags]

Need to investigate how to harmonize the syntax for these three similar 
features as much as possible.

regarding alternate audio overlays, the specification text is TBD and the 
requirement is described further in this issue:
