In § 3.7.2 Furiwake Processing:

In the same furiwake block, the top positions of all the furiwake-gyou lines are aligned.

Is furiwake only used in vertical writing mode, or it is used in horizontal writing mode as well? If it's used in horizontal writing mode, it may be better to replace "top positions" with "beginning".

I believe furiwake is only in vertical writing; at least I have never seen it in horizontal text. I will double confirm with Bin-sensei and get back.

Thanks @kidayasuo. If furiwake is only used in vertical writing mode, we can mention that in this section.

Is there any limit to the number of lines used for furiwake?

I guess we can raise that as a separate issue?
