When a progress or meter element or an input element with type set to range occurs in vertical text, setting direction:rtl will set the lowest value at the top and the highlight grows downwards.

text-combine-upright:digits followed by a number from 2 to 4, set on a parent element, will make up to that number of digits run horizontally in vertical text, without special markup, but not longer ones.
