At one time, the parameters for both Element Send Keys (Section 14.3) and Send Alert Text (Section 18.4) were modified so that the text and value properties, respectively, expected "character arrays" as their input. Element Send Keys was changed so that the text property expects a string, but the corresponding value property for Send Alert Text was not similarly updated. These should remain in sync.
