Focus stealing #7
Comments
Well over a year later and this is still an issue. |
Any update on this? I find it very disruptive when I attempt to join a meeting and switch to other tasks only to have WebEx steal focus and disrupt my work. Please advise. I called the help desk today to submit this "feature" request as they told me this was by design. |
Two and a half years now. I'm advocating for our enterprise to move to alternative solutions solely due to this issue. |
My company has made the switch to Zoom and the one vendor we were working with that was still using WebEx did as well. Zoom was founded by ex WebEx engineers and is a substantially better product. Unfortunately, this doesn't solve the focus stealing issue in WebEx, but I'm thankful I don't have to endure it any longer. |
Webex - any movement on this? |
For the sake of everyone commenting on this issue, this repository is not the right place to report issues on Webex in general, or get update on Webex bugs and feature requests. This repository has been used exclusively to collect feedback from people in the W3C community using Webex in our standardization process - there is no expectation that issues reported here are known (let even tracked) by the Cisco engineers developing Webex. |
Where is a good place? |
When someone becomes presenter, the WebEx client window suddenly changes massively to show that person's screen. Sometimes that screen opens into a full-screen window without the user's permission. This is a massive interruption and does not appear to be something that can be disabled.
Identifying a caller loses focus if someone else joins while typing.
The client frequently steals focus while it is loading - repeatedly. Because it takes a long time to load, one attempts to work on other things, but the client keeps stealing it focus back.
