Current condition for removing common indentation is that there are multiple lines and there is at least one non-empty line. I would change it to there are multiple non-whitespace lines.

Current behavior is not desired e.g. for single lines with \n in the end (the typical result of Ctrl+X without selection). When indentation is removed then after pressing Ctrl+X and Ctrl+V we will not get the same content as before.
