why recommend something like spork that you need to edit your configs for, etc? that's what i like about rrails. it's unobtrusive. i think the lib/rrails/server.rb patch could be written better. perhaps giving rspec it's own "when" for the case?

however, with this little patch, rrails is perfect for the oversized app/slow laptop situation i'm in right now. i can actually do speedy, productive tdd.

It's just rrails does not support preloading test files or libraries. If you don't have many test case, It's not problem.
