Hi,

I come across discussion posts which I wish to save to wallabags.

The post may be a thread on Hacker News, or Stack Exchange, or Reddit, or some forum.

Wallabag does not seem to know how to take the whole page. In some cases e.g. stack exchange it only displays the first post of the thread, and in other cases e.g. hacker news it shows the "skeleton" of a thread without the content of the comments.

I can elaborate if needed.

I wonder if there is any plan to add this feature, or if such feature would involve too much work?

This should be handled using site config.

Site Config is a file format from 'Five Filters' and used by Graby to know how to extract content from a website.
Here are some resources:

@ycpei: for stackexchange, you can copy the configuration from stackoverflow, as it is the same website structure and I think the config for stackoverflow is more sensible (even if sub-optimal).
See fivefilters/ftr-site-config#555 .

It's pretty hard but you can try on your side if you want to help us.
