In order to check if there are some newly created files you can use this snippet:

var yesterday = DateTime.Now.AddDays(-1);
var configuration = DiskWatcherConfiguration
    .Create()
    .WithFilesToCheck(Directory.GetFiles(@"C:\Work", "*.*", SearchOption.AllDirectories))
    .EnsureThat(check => check.Files.Any(x => x.CreationTimeUtc > yesterday))
    .Build();
