FAQ
Customisation is via the watch face's settings. These can be accessed either in the Garmin Connect mobile app, or in the Garmin Express desktop app. Please see these instructions from Garmin for more details:

I can't see a setting for changing between 12 and 24 hour mode, or from statute (feet) to metric (metres) units!
These settings can be changed on the watch itself; the watch face will pick up the new setting. The setting will be specific to the watch, but, for example, on vívoactive® 3, the settings are as follows:
- 12/24 hour mode: Menu > Clocks > Time > Time Format
- Statute/metric units: Menu > Settings > System > Units
I can't install the watch face. Garmin is asking me to update my software/firmware, but I'm already on the latest version!
This is a common problem with the Garmin system. Please try the following steps:
- Turn off bluetooth
- Restart the watch
- Restart the phone
- Turn bluetooth back on
- Re-attempt installation
The move bar is a Garmin concept: it reminds you to keep moving. After one hour of inactivity, the first segment fills in. After each subsequent 15 minutes of inactivity, another segment fills in. Segments are completely cleared when you walk a short distance.
This is unfortunately a limitation of Connect IQ 1.x watches: they are only able to update the screen each second when in "high power" mode. Once in "low power" mode, the screen only updates once per minute, so it makes sense to hide the seconds, rather than to show a stuck, out-of-date number.
On CIQ 2.x watches, you can type in a city name (case insensitive). Supported cities are listed here. Where multiple cities of the same name exist, currently, the one with the largest population will be chosen. The watch will then request that city's time zone via the internet. Requests can only happen at intervals of 5 minutes. While waiting for a response, "..." will be shown on the watch face, beneath the city name. If the city is unrecognised, "???" will be shown. If you leave the city name empty, the usual goal meter values will be shown instead.
The Sunrise/Sunset feature needs your GPS location. To make this available to Crystal, you will need to start recording an activity, and then return to the watch face. Once Crystal knows your location, it will save it so that you do not need to do this again, unless you change location significantly. Instead of starting a recording, some watches also allow you to save your current location: this will also provide your location to Crystal.
The Weather feature needs your GPS location, like Sunrise/Sunset: please see the answer above.
Starting with Crystal version 2.2.3, you no longer need to sign up for your own OpenWeatherMap API key, as OpenWeatherMap are very supportive of free and open-source (FOSS) projects, and have kindly agreed to lift the access limits on Crystal's own internal key.
Even though Crystal checks the latest weather conditions from OpenWeatherMap every 30 minutes, OpenWeatherMap themselves may take up to 2 hours to update the weather, for Free accounts. This means that a "night" icon may be continue to be shown for a short while after sunrise, and a "day" icon for a short while after sunset.
