Describe the bug

This is a breach of trust. I've been a warp user for almost 6 months now and loved it. Today I discovered you are emitting on-device metrics (of god knows what) to Segment.

Of all this, this is on my daily-use terminal which has all sorts of permissions enabled. This is a huge breach of trust. I blocked the requests, but I can't shake how upset I am - I'm going to uninstall the App after this issue.

Some questions I have - Are you emitting keystrokes? Are you emitting commands? Are you sweeping other system data and emitting that? What are you emitting from my device?

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install Warp
  2. See the outgoing network requests

Expected behaviour

That no on-device telemetry is installed, and no additional spyware.

Why not conduct actual user interviews instead of spying on your customers.

Hi Davit,

We have info when you sign up and also on our privacy page that during our beta, we are collecting telemetry, and are very sorry if it took you by surprise.

tldr; We never send keystrokes, terminal inputs, or outputs (unless you explicitly use our Block sharing feature--Create a permalink). We have an exhaustive list of the telemetry in our documentation.

Is there a way to disable telemetry in warp??

I saw a link to opt-out. Thanks
