List display needs default columns value

Describe the bug

The list displays style list columns attribute has a default of 3 but doesn't load with that default enabled.

To reproduce

Create a new salary data block and change its view from table to list. Notice that the "List columns" setting says "3" but only 2 columns are actually displayed. Toggling the list columns option away from 3 and then back to 3 will set it to actually display 3 columns as it should.
