repro -

  • launch backupminder with one BackupSet already defined
  • unlock the application
  • without clicking anywhere in the list, click Edit.
  • click through the setup steps, it appears the set is being edited
  • make a change (any change, and this may not be needed.. I was changing the allowed days)
  • save the set.

Expectation - set is updated
Actual - set is duplicated.

Interestingly, the jobs in question were named:

org.backupminder.hello_.plist

and

org.backupminder.hello.plist

the underscore after hello was not visible in the BackupMinder UI

Removing them both via the BackupMinder UI deleted org.backupminder.hello.plist but the file named org.backupminder.hello_.plist was left on-disk.

Despite both being removed from the UI, using the refresh icon brought the job back to view (no _ in the UI)
