Version: 1.2.5b-beta

2x External Monitors, both the same brand.

1x Monitor connected directly to the M1
1x Monitor connected via Display Link.

If I edit the raw display name, it changes the display name for both monitors (within the app interface) - selecting "Edit raw display name" and entering a display name, shows this name in both monitors respective fields.

They are detected correctly i.e one real display and one virtual.

The reason the fields are shared for similar displays is that this method can edit the system configuration on a display maker/product model level - so if there are two displays of the same kind, any edits will affect both. This is intentional.

But: DisplayLink displays should not even have this feature enabled as this method (almost for sure) works only for natively connected and built-in displays. :) If you click on the display name under Preferences/Displays (for the natively connected and DisplayLink item as well) what do you see (some previously hidden info should be revealed)? Can you post a screenshot for me?

Thank you!

(on displaylink you can use the dummy method for flexible resolutions).

Yes, already using dummy mirror, was just trying to have a better identification method of displays rather than having duplicate names.

Serial number possible ?

Well, you can change the real display's name, I don't think that after reboot the displaylink display's name will actually change.

But I could add a feature to change a display name in the app menu only (not system wide), that would work for any display.

Fixed.
