Apparently GMP is intending to dual license an upcoming release. We cannot simply do the same. We need to replay our patches over the new GMP files.

There's around 170 files currently licensed LGPL v3+ in MPIR. Each will have to be examined very carefully to ensure it can be derived from the newer GMP files before dual licensing is done.

I think this is not going to be possible. We could write to the FSF and ask for permission.

This will not happen.
