Thank you for reporting this issue, I was able to reproduce it. If the icons of the buttons are tapped it works as expected ("x", "✓").

Tested on:
• Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 115.0a1-20230511213213 / Firefox Beta 114.0-20230509180058 / Firefox Release 113.0-20230504192738 / Chrome 113.0.5672.77
• Operating System: OnePlus 6 A6000 (Android 11) - 1080 x 2280 pixels, 19:9 ratio (~402 ppi pixel density)

Notes:

  1. Reproducible on Firefox Release, Beta and Nightly regardless of the ETP status
  2. Not reproducible on Chrome
  3. In some cases the cookie banner reappears when accessing the articles on the page
  4. Workaround: tapping on the icons of the buttons works "x" "✓"
