Browser / Version: Firefox 124.2.0
Operating System: Android
Tested Another Browser: Yes Chrome

Problem type: Something else
Description: On Android's Firefox audio play but with many little craking noises
Steps to Reproduce:
When I play a audio track, I hear many little cracking noises with the music. I tried with other pods of Funkwhale, it's the same problem. I tried with ogg and mp3's files, no difference, the same cracking noises. I tried with Chrome (Android) it works fine. On my PC (Firefox 125.0 Ubuntu Studio) it works fine.

Thank you for reporting this issue, I was able to reproduce it. On Firefox Release & Nightly, there are crackling noises from time to time, which could not be observed while using Chrome. This can be observed in the video, starting second 12.

XRecorder_25042024_113559.mp4

Tested on:
• Firefox Release 125.0-20240419144423/ Firefox Nightly 127.0a1-20240423214125/Chrome 123.0.6312.121
• Operating System: Pixel 7 (Android 14) -1080px × 1920px 20:9 aspect ratio (~416 ppi density)

Notes:

  1. Reproducible on both Firefox Release and Nightly
  2. Not reproducible on Chrome.
  3. Reproducible regardless of settings of Enhanced Tracking Protection

Moving to Needsdiagnosis.
