We appreciate your report. I was not able to reproduce the issue. I was able to play and listen to music, with no issues encountered, with or without WEBRENDER enabled

Tested with:

Browser / Version: /Firefox Beta 94.0b8 (64-bit)/
Operating System: Ubuntu 20.4 LTS x64

Suggestion: Try clearing cache/data/cookies, disable add-ons and Ad-blocker (if available) and extensions or use a clean profile, and check again? If there are any changes made to the default settings of the browser (e.g. in about: config) please revert to the default settings and try again. Also, have the required cookies been accepted for this page?

Hi @glureau
we have identified that @deezer was having performance issues on Firefox time to time for certain users. It seems difficult to reproduce. For the last couple of years there is an extensive discussion on the reasons why this could be happening.

This last comment may help fix it

So far, my understanding is that the memory bug is in the javascript code served by deezer.com (basically, they never call revokeObjectURL() for "stale" createObjectURL() instances)

Would you know who could at Deezer fix this issue?

Thanks!

Hello @softvision-raul-bucata,

The deezer.com "memory leak" (not really a leak) is 100% reproducible.
Did you test on a system with plenty of RAM. Perhaps 16 GB or 32 GB?
Typically, on the "normal quality" setting, deezer.com allocates about 1 GB per hour.
See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1591722#c23

Regards.
