This will be released shortly.

One question - how do webjars get updated when there is a new version released? Is this a manual process? If automated, what is it base upon ?
For instance bootstrap-modal project was not up-to-date in creating releases. I contacted them and they just created a new release but I do not see it in the list of from webjars.org.

It is a manual process to publish WebJar updates. Just file an issue on the WebJar: https://github.com/webjars/bootstrap-modal

Or send a pull request. :)
