Is this in email, or in the UI? |
@DrCarsonBeckett Can you provide a screenshot of where exactly this happening? |
..unless you're seeing this in mail folder names.. |
Ah, I am sorry. It seems like usermin has issue with displaying names from folders you create yourself. Is that still something which can be fixed at some point? |
With the other tickets in mind, is there a connection between them? |
No. |
It still happens for me, is there an update for this? |
Labels created in Outlook are displayed with broken charset? |
They are displayed correctly. |
What is then not displayed correctly? Could you please give me steps to reproduce an issue? |
The folder names which got created from Outlook (2019). |
Okay, could you go to your Maildir under user home dir and share the list of folders for me? I would like to recreate a problem locally. |
Sorry, I took the content of the mail directory and not the Maildir directory. This is the list:

So, do you expect this to be displayed correctly on Usermin side? What if you login with Thunderbird - does this folder displayed correctly? What if you use old theme - do you have the same escaped char displayed? |
That is how it looks on the server and virtualmin. It looks fine in Outlook an other mail apps. |
Yes, this should be possible to fix. I will look in to it! |
Glad to hear that, thank you again. If you need more details or other things, just reply again. |
…webmin/usermin#62 Folder name like `.&BB8EQAQ4BDIENQRC-` wasn't working before
Okay, this has been implemented and folder names can now be recognized containing any valid utf7 encoded characters. It will cross work with folders created using Thunderbird or Outlook. You will need all of the patches above, if you wish to give it a try. Otherwise, expect it in Usermin 1.811 pretty soon. Example:
.. and here is how it looks on the themes side: |
The fix for Maildir storage format is here too. |
There seems to be an issue with the german umlauts ("ö ä ü ß") within usermin too.
Should be:
System:
Debian 10
Webmin-Version | 1.953 |
Usermin-Version | 1.802
Virtualmin Version | 6.10 |
Authentic theme version | 19.53
