User password are not working. #1141
Comments
Same problem here. User creates their own username and password. All appear OK. When they try to login, the username/password is invalid. It appears that even though they create their own, S2/WP is generating a password and saving that anyways. |

I would like to fix this, same issue, contact me if want to test |
I have started testing: I disabled plugins (wordfence, jetpack, aksimet etc) and deleted the s2 security encryption key. I logged out of my admin account and I was able to do open registrations. So far, I have turned on Jetpack and still was able to make it work. My test site is cookdotcom.com. Another bug I see is that the log for wp-http-api-debug.log is empty. I did not see anything of interest in the other logs. I am going to switch to the forums.wpsharks.com. |
It seems when users attempt to create their own password, they get a notification that says doesnt not recognize password.
When I reset their password they are able to use the password sent but the issue is whent they need to create their own, it doens't seem to be working.
I don't have a lot of plugins running, I don't think thats the issue.
Any suggestions?
Best,
M
