I'm running InstantWp I just upgraded to WP 5.6.1

It takes a while to actually load up to get to the page where I login
It also runs slow
I built a page a put in link on the page
in the view mode I click on the link and get this
" Your server is running PHP version 5.4.45 but WordPress 5.6.1 requires at least 5.6.20 "

I'm running Win 7 , i5 , 2.6Ghz , 64-bit

Is there any way to speed InstantWP up and upgrade the PHP
I'm new to all this

my contact is Joel@sunbanque.ca

Thank You

In order to update PHP you need to update the underlying alpine linux.

  1. Set in the config file "ShowQEMUWindow=yes"
  2. Make a back-up of the file "iwpserver-2.1.1.qcow2" (you can delete this after step 4 is successful)
  3. Start InstantWP
  4. Update Alpine Linux (follow the instructions here: Upgrading Alpine)
  5. Re-Start InstantWP

Hi there,
this is issue #100 with the description (see my comment on 15th February).

Follow the indicated steps there and once you reach step 4, you follow the exact instructions in the following section on the linked page Upgrading to latest release.

I used #98 method and it worked perfectly for me.
