Investigate commune records in FR

France records were recently updated, but the county placetype may still need a bit of work. Specifically, it looks like the communes of Morbihan are not up to date (missing at least one record, for Priziac).

Also take a look at Vouziers and Vitzy. According to wikipedia, Vrizy is a former commune, but WOF maintains a current record for this place at the locality placetype.

@Joxit - do you have any insights about these two commune issues in France? We completed many updates in France at the locality and localadmin placetypes through #1277, but it looks like we may have additional clean-up in some places.

Hi @stepps00,
Every year we have new communes and former communes. The new data is available thanks to IGN on Licence Ouverte with our regions (WOF macro-region), départements (WOF regions), arrondissements départementals (WOF macro-county I think).

Vouziers is both the name of the commune and the arrondissement départemental. And that's why we got this in county (I think).

Anyway, in 2016 they merged Vrizy and Terron-sur-Aisne with Vouzier. When we did the geometry rework with #1094 , we updated the geometry of Vrizy, but in reality, this is not the shape of Vrizy but Vouziers...
And this should definitely be Vouzier (check the nom_com property) => https://spelunker.whosonfirst.org/id/404361059/

So IMO:

• Vouziers as localadmin is 404361059, the name should be fixed
• Vouziers as county (102070057) is fine
• The true Vrizy as locality (101903141) should be the old shape, so smaller than this one, the version before 2016
• Vouziers as locality should also be the old shape, the version before 2016
• Vouziers as macrocounty (404228201) is fine

BTW, I did one PR to fix 3 localities whosonfirst-data-admin-fr#17
