It would be nice to have to option to see if there are any new updates available, possibly on launch.

Making it as easy as possible for people who have purchased the app to update would be great! 👍

Sorry missed this issue completely. I certainly like the idea of auto-updating. There are pre-made solutions; I think one of them requires that the binaries are shared on GitHub. What I'd love is if the download happens in the background and the size of the update is under 5MB (no need to re-download all of Electron and ffmpeg just for the Angular or main.ts changes).

I'll look into it once the higher-priority items are done (closer to release date) 👍

Feel free to suggest solutions if this is an interesting topic for you to explore 😄

I've added this feature -- in the settings at the bottom, you can now click on "check for new version" to see if a new version is available.

Currently it's a very simple API call to https://my.videohubapp.com/version.php -- and if the string is different, the app claims "new version available" 😅

I'd rather not make the check automatic 🤷
