I added the Cinder repository and installed, but I can’t get the View to display.

Most likely the JRE is to blame, if you’re using Zend Studio, try using a Sun 1.6 JRE instead of the “jre” folder of Zend Studio

OpenJDK doesn’t have the features needed for the secure storage Equinox facility, at least not in 1.6.
