Confused about the basics

I'm successfully using a cross-platform implementation (iOS/web) of react-native-web-starter.

So first of all - thanks a lot for making this working! 😀

But coming from the react-router world, I don't get how to define direction of transitions when navigating between screens? I've read the docs for Navigation and played around with the real-world-app example app - but it's still magic to me how those transitions happen (screens coming in from the left vs right) .
