app window below task bar is black after upgrade - Deleting ~/.config/Wire solves problem #813

Wire Version: <wire-desktop 2.15.2750-1>
Wire for Web Version: <n/a I think>
OS: <OS/Linux version 4.11.9-1-ARCH >
Do you have an antivirus software installed:

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Install app from aur
  2. launch app

What is the expected result?
User logs in app runs

What happens instead?
Log in screen appears then just as app should run the window below the task bar turns black

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

Sorry no screenshot but Deleting ~/.config/Wire solves problem.

I confirm, release 2.15.2747 was the last working version, and upgrading to every version after that resulted in black screen.

I didn't encounter this issue! How odd. I'm on Manjaro, I wonder if it has to do with one of the underlying libraries (Manjaro usually a couple of days or weeks behind Arch).

2.15.2750 (might be two builds before) and up need a newer version of the webapp, otherwise the app might run into a black screen. We will release the new version of webapp this week. Unfortunately we marked 2.15.2750 as release in Github already, although no binaries are released yet. Please use 2.14.2744 to avoid black screens.
