Describe your feature request

Please have a look at how the entities of the go-e charger HA integration look like with editable number fields and pull down sections.
go-e Charger HA Entities

Could the Huawei HA integration have similar entities, e.g. for battery max discharger power?

Proper usage

  • I confirm that this is not a bug report or support request
  • I confirm that this feature request is within the stated scope of the integration

Hi @Roving-Ronin
Äh...yes .
How did you get to these entities set-up as they are?
I tried it with the battery max discharge power but failed as after any restart the entity gets unavailable:

When you state it is documented can you please let me know where I can find it how to do it?

Thanks in advance!

@spelzl

Look in the Huawei integration, you should see your Inverter(s), Power Meter and Battery. If your running v1.4.0a3 then you should also have a 'Batteries' entity.

In v.1.3.3 open the Battery (or Battery 1) entity, in v1.4.0a3 open the 'Batteries' entity and look at the 'Configuration' section.

@Roving-Ronin do you have an idea when 1.4.0 will be officially released?
It appears as if 1.4.0a3 is close to become released soon.

@spelzl only Thijs (WLCRS) knows release timeframes. V1.4.0a3 has been out for a while now, next is supposed to be v1.4.0a4

As stated in https://github.com/wlcrs/huawei_solar?tab=readme-ov-file#network-configuration:

Checking the Advanced: elevate permissions checkbox will:

  • give you access to optimizer data
  • enable you to dynamically change your inverter and battery settings

@wlcrs wlcrs closed this as not planned Won't fix, can't repro, duplicate, stale May 23, 2024
