Summary and purpose

JMA proposes an amendment to Common Code table C-3 to introduce new models of XCTD (eXpendable Conductivity Temperature Depth profiler) probes.

Action proposed

JMA asks the team to review the proposal and accept it for FT2020-2.

Discussions

New models of XCTD probes (XCTD-1N, XCTD-2N, XCTD-3N and XCTD-4N) will be introduced by TSK (Tsurumi-seiki Co., Ltd).
New specifications in the table are the same as the current XCTD probes (XCTD-1, XCTD-2, XCTD-3 and XCTD-4).
It would not be necessary to identify a type of new/old models.
We propose to add new models into "Instrument make and type" in "Meaning" of current numbers instead of allocation of new parameter numbers.

AMEND
Add 'XCTD-1N', 'XCTD-2N', 'XCTD-3N' and 'XCTD-4N' to "Instrument make and type" respectively.
