ECMWF is proposing to add (potential of Hydrogen (pH) as a new physical property in Code Table 4.2 discipline 0 category 20.
The team is kindly asked to review and approve the contents for inclusion within the next update to the WMO Manual on Codes.
In order to encode several pH values of interest (acidity in rain/cloud), ECMWF is requesting a new "pH" entry in code table 4.2
